From November 10 to 14, 2025, Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant is hosting a key international cooperation event: the second stage of the corporate peer review of Moscow Regional Center of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO-MC). The first stage took place in 2022.

The purpose of the second stage of the audit is to independently assess the plant's operational efficiency and share best practices for further improvement in accordance with the highest international safety standards.

The WANO Moscow Center delegation's work began with an introductory meeting on November 10. It was attended by Belarusian NPP's management, including Director General Sergei Bobovich, as well as WANO partner experts.

During the meeting, the main objectives of the upcoming inspection, the experts' methodology, and up-to-date information on the current state of BelNPP production site were discussed in detail.

In his opening remarks, Sergei Bobovich, Director General of BelNPP, emphasized the importance of this event for the plant:

"We greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with experts of this level. We thank Moscow Center representatives for their contribution and look forward to the most productive and open collaboration possible, which will help us strengthen our commitment to safety and security."

Over the course of the week, WANO experts will work on integrated management systems and independent audits, assessing administrative activities at operating organizations. The audit results will be used to integrate best global practices into the Belarusian NPP's operations, an integral part of WANO's mission to improve the safety and reliability of nuclear power plants and operating organizations worldwide.

The corporate peer review will conclude on November 14, 2025, with a final meeting at which findings and recommendations will be presented.
