This made it possible to replace more than 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas, significantly reduce the foreign exchange burden on the economy, and also reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere by more than 14 million tons.
The plant provides about 40% of the country's electricity needs and makes a significant contribution to ensuring the energy security of the Republic of Belarus.
In 2024, Belarusian NPP generated 15.7 billion kWh of electricity, which is a third more than in 2023.
