The workshop was opened by the head of the Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Prevention of the Republic of Belarus Ministry of Health Eduard Moroz and Deputy Chairman of Ostrovets Region Executive Committee Viktor Svila.
The workshop addressed issues of major changes in the legislation of the Republic of Belarus on radiation safety in the Republic of Belarus Ministry of Health regulations, and ways to optimize the radiation-hygienic monitoring of the population of Belarus.
The specialists of Belarusian nuclear power plant made presentations to ensure nuclear and radiation safety at Belarusian NPP.
As part of the workshop participants got acquainted with the exposition of the information center.
The event ended with a visit to the construction site of Belarusian nuclear power plant and exposure to the work of the training center of RUE "Belarusian NPP".
