On August 28, 2024, the employees of Belarusian NPP launched the challenge # sportsmanofbelarus. Its goal was to popularize a healthy lifestyle among the employees of the enterprises of SPA "Belenergo", to attract public attention to the need for physical education, strengthening personal health, and physical activity of people of all ages.
Nuclear scientists not only became the authors of a useful initiative, but also inspired 180 physical education activists from 12 enterprises of the country's energy system to participate in the campaign by their personal example.
At Belarusian NPP, more than a hundred employees took part in passing the standards to receive the badge. It is gratifying that not only individual employees but also entire families of the enterprise's employees took part in passing the standards. On May 15, 2025, all of them received the coveted "gold", "silver" and "bronze" badges "Sportsman of Belarus" from the hands of the General Director of the Belarusian NPP Sergei Bobovich.
The youngest participant in the competition was barely 7 years old, and the oldest were over 50. Indeed, physical culture is for all ages.
Sergei Bobovich warmly welcomed the participants of the event, noting that physical exercise and caring for one’s own health is the personal contribution of each NPP employee to strengthening their Motherland.
The head of the enterprise confirmed the intention to continue to provide all-round support for the sports and physical education initiatives of Belarusian NPP employees and announced preparations for the enterprise’s participation in international competitions.
The badges have been awarded – but the competition continues. New challenges and new heights of the State Physical Culture and Health Complex of the Republic of Belarus “Sportman of Belarus” lie ahead.
