Memorial day for soldiers-internationalist was held at Belarusian NPP

Every year, February 15 is celebrated as the Day of Remembrance of Soldiers-Internationalist. On this day in 1989, the last Soviet soldier left Afghanistan. The largest anti-terrorist operation of the 20th century ended.

Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant employs nine men, whose destinies included Afghanistan. On the eve of the memorable date, February 14, in a warm atmosphere, words of gratitude to the internationalist soldiers were heard from General Director Sergei Bobovich: "Thank you for what you have done, for what you are, for being an example for the modern generation. We remember and will never forget your feat."

The action "Served as it should be and returned" was timed to coincide with the Day of Remembrance of Soldiers-Internationalist. Young specialists who completed their military service in the military units of the Republic of Belarus were congratulated and presented with memorable gifts. Three young people returned to their native team in 2024.
