The forum "Nuclear Energy: New Opportunities for Innovative Development of the National Economy" was held as part of the exhibition's business program. Representatives of the country's ministries and departments, the NAS of Belarus, and the Rosatom State Corporation took part in its work.
In his speech, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus Denis Moroz focused on the positive aspects of the operation of Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant - this is a reduction in the share of imported natural gas as fuel in the total generation of electric and thermal energy, a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere, and the renewal of the electric grid infrastructure in urban and rural areas. Peaceful atom provides serious competitive advantages for many sectors of the economy: industry, science, medicine, education, agriculture.
“We have seen how timely and far-sighted the Head of State’s decision to build our own nuclear power plant was,” noted Denis Moroz.
Representatives of the enterprise's workforce took part in the round table "Peaceful Atom and Technological Transformation: from the Introduction of Latest Technologies to the Production of High-Tech Products". Deputy Head of the NPP Radiation Safety Shop Sergey Khorloogijn presented a report "The Radiation Monitoring System as the Most Important Element of Ensuring Safety".
The employees of Belarusian NPP studied various locations of the large-scale exhibition display, not bypassing the “Nuclear Energy” cluster, because the impressive stand of Belarusian NPP is located here.
"Having visited this significant place, the delegation of our enterprise was able to immerse in Belarusian traditions and evaluate the development of the domestic industry. Such events help to form a positive image of our country. I am sure that the employees of Belarusian NPP visited the exhibition with pleasure and felt a sense of pride in the achievements of our state. I would gladly come to the exhibition again with my family," said the head of the ideological work group Svetlana Shushkevich.
