The head of the enterprise informed the participants of the meeting about the history of the construction and commissioning of Belarusian NPP, noting the outstanding role of the President of the Republic of Belarus A. Lukashenko in the implementation of the project.
The speaker emphasized that the project “NPP-2006”, implemented in Belarus by the state corporation “Rosatom”, a new generation “3+”, meets the most modern standards of reliability and safety.
Also, in his speech, the head of Belarusian NPP spoke in detail about the personnel training system of Belarusian NPP, spoke about the areas of training within the framework of the State Program for the Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power in the Republic of Belarus, interaction with leading specialized universities of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, personnel training in the training center of Belarusian NPP and in the structural divisions of the enterprise.
Characterizing the interaction of the Republic of Belarus with international organizations in nuclear energy, Sergei Bobovich reported that “throughout the entire period of implementation of the project for the construction of the nuclear power plant, the Republic of Belarus has been actively cooperating in nuclear energy with more than 20 countries and international organizations, primarily the IAEA and WANO.”
Specific examples of effective interaction between Belarusian NPP and WANO were given.
"Cooperation with international organizations such as WANO enables Belarusian NPP to expand its capabilities for the reliable and safe operation of the nuclear power plant and the creation of an improved nuclear energy infrastructure for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. We believe that nuclear energy is a bright and safe future for the next generations," the Director General of Belarusian NPP summarized his speech.
