The commission’s decision is based on the positive conclusions of the supervisory authorities and the working commission of Belarusian NPP, as well as on the basis of the license issued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the industrial operation of the second power unit.
Profile specialists, experts and scientists were also widely involved in the work of the acceptance committee, which included representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Standard, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Grodno Oblast Executive Committee, the State Production Association "Belenergo", as well as representatives of Russian companies "ASE", "Atomstroyexport", "Atomtekhenergo".
The assessment was carried out in key areas: checking the readiness of technological systems and equipment for the development of thermal and electrical power, personnel training, readiness of safety systems, nuclear supervision, etc.
The unit is currently operating at rated power. Since its inclusion in the unified energy system, it has generated more than 2 billion kWh of electricity.
