On June 22, 2023, a meeting-requiem was held in Ostrovets near the monument to Soviet soldiers and partisans, dedicated to the Day of National Memory of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People.
The event was attended by representatives of enterprises and organizations of Osrtovets region, military units and units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations stationed in Ostrovets, public organizations.
The employees of Belarusian NPP, headed by the General Director of the enterprise Mikhail Filimonov, also did not stand aside and honored the memory of everyone who, at the cost of their lives, preserved peace on our land, laying flowers at the memorial from the nuclear power plant's team.
