A meeting dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy was held today in Ostrovets.
The mournful event was held at the monument to Soviet soldiers and partisans. The leaders of Ostrovets region, employees of enterprises and organizations of Ostrovets, and representatives of public organizations came to honor the memory of the victims of Khatyn and all those who died during the Great Patriotic War.
The meeting-requiem ended with a minute of silence and the laying of flowers at the monument.
