President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko today signed decree No. 32 "On the funds of Belarusian nuclear power plant", BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
The document provides for the creation of a fund for financing the decommissioning of the nuclear power plant and a fund for financing work to maintain and improve the safety of the nuclear power plant. The formation of such funds is a global practice.
According to the decree, RUE "Belarusian NPP" after commissioning will make monthly payments to the relevant funds (no more than 15% of the proceeds from the sale of electrical energy).
