We reject discrimination in nuclear energy and are ready to work closely with Belarus - Orban

Written by BelTA

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban considers it negative that some countries discriminate against others on issues related to the development of nuclear energy. He stated this following a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.

"We reject negative discrimination (on the development of nuclear energy. - BelTA`s note)," the head of government said. He specified that Belarus and Hungary agreed on close technical cooperation in the field of nuclear energy. "We are watching the project for the construction of a nuclear power plant in Ostrovets, since our nuclear power plant is being built according to a similar example. I think that we can share experience and knowledge with each other," he said.

Currently, a project similar to the Belarusian one is being implemented in Hungary together with the Russian side. We are talking about the construction of two new units of Paks NPP.
