Opening the stand, the head of the Belarusian delegation, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Mikhaduk addressed the delegates of the congress, journalists and visitors with a welcoming speech.
Inviting the guests of the stand to see the progress made by the Republic of Belarus in developing the infrastructure necessary for the implementation of the national nuclear energy program, the progress of the construction project of Belarusian NPP, the head of the Belarusian delegation emphasized that “safety is an absolute priority for Belarus, therefore, implementing the national nuclear program, we strictly follow the IAEA recommendations for countries embarking on the path of nuclear energy programs.”
The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Austria Elena Kupchina.
The work of the stand of Belarusian NPP in the IAEA will last until September 20, 2019.
