A new school opened in Ostrovets

Written by Department of information and public relations

In the early days of autumn, cities and villages are filled with the smells of bouquets, the sounds of orchestras and the cheerful voices of elegant, but still summer-like, carefree kids. The country is breathing with happiness.

The opening of a new school is always a joyful event, and for small towns it is doubly joyful. In the year of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 75th anniversary of the formation of Grodno Oblast, the first September Monday was included in the list of lucky cities Ostrovets. Here, in the framework of the republican investment program, the construction of a new educational institution was completed by the new school year.

The school can accept 765 students at once in its classrooms. A distinctive feature of the educational institution will be the availability of the Peaceful Atom Resource Center, which will help students get to know nuclear energy more closely, and those wishing to associate their labor activity with it should be better prepared for entering specialized higher educational institutions.

Modern classrooms, a large dining room, a cozy concert hall, a equipped gymnasium and a whole range of sports grounds on the school grounds will undoubtedly make study fun, and the work of teachers fruitful.

The first page of the history of Ostrovets secondary school No. 3 has been written, but its chronicle is just beginning and I want to believe that the names of new outstanding scientists, athletes, writers, employees of the nuclear power plant and just the citizens of their country, a strong and prosperous Republic of Belarus, will be written in this chronicle!
