Among the media that visited the nuclear power plant under construction were representatives of both central and regional media, both state and private forms of ownership.
In addition to traditional route points, such as the NPP information center in Ostrovets, for the first time, the water intake station on the Viliya River and the chemical department were presented to journalists, where water is prepared for use at nuclear power plant facilities. Representatives of the media also visited the central control panel of Belarusian NPP.
Experts of Belarusian NPP told how water is taken for technical needs of the nuclear power plant and whether the Viliya River will suffer from this. The head of the environmental protection department Igor Kireev is convinced that nothing threatens the river. Because the water consumption from Viliya for the needs of nuclear power plants will not exceed 2.2 percent.
In the building of the administrative laboratory and household complex, the journalists saw how the shift on duty works at the central control panel of the nuclear power plant. The necessary explanations were given by the head of the operational-production service Alexander Maslov.
In the water treatment plant, deputy head of the chemical department Yevgeny Lesnichenko told about the preparation of water for use at the facilities of Belarusian NPP, including in the primary circuit of the nuclear power plant.
The implementation of the project for the issuance of power at Belarusian NPP was the subject of a comment by the head of the information and analytical department of the State Production Association Belenergo Alexander Malkov.
