Recently, employees of Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant have become regular participants of the competition.
On the Memorial Day of Soldiers-Internationalists, Ostrovets Cinema and Concert Hall gathered the best vocalists from almost twenty enterprises, organizations, educational institutions of Ostrovets district. A variety of musical compositions sounded from the stage: from the songs of the war years to the works of modern composers.
Choosing the best of the best turned out to be a difficult task for the jury members. It is gratifying that ultimately its sympathies were on the side of a participant from Belarusian NPP, an employee of the chemical department Alexander Cordel, who presented the famous “Smuglyanka” to the audience and won first place in the age group from 18 to 35 years. Alexander is a native of Smorgon. It is noteworthy that he has no musical education. However, this did not prevent Alexander's musical career as the vocalist of the Fertinka ensemble; he traveled with it almost all Belarus.
We hope that working at a responsible enterprise will not interfere with the work of Alexander Cordel and we will hear more than once about new victories of a talented young man.
