The festivities began with a solemn procession of veterans, region leaders, servicemen, representatives of public organizations and enterprises of Ostrovets region to the monument to Soviet soldiers and partisans. The employees of the enterprise, headed by the General Director M.Filimonov made the separate column, under the flags with the symbols of Belarusian NPP.

A solemn meeting took place at the monument, during which the state flag of the Republic of Belarus was raised. Deputy chief of the repair shop Dmitry Lagun was part of the citizens who were granted the honor of raising the flag.

The General Director of RUE "Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant" M. Filimonov laid flowers to the monument to the soldiers-liberators on behalf of the enterprise.
