The active collaboration of the Republic of Belarus with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) began in 2008 after the decision to build Belarusian NPP. Over the ten-year period, several IAEA technical cooperation programs have been implemented, within which a significant number of consultancy and evaluation missions of the agency has been held.
The IAEA provides effective consultative support to the Republic of Belarus, methodological and technical assistance, provides access to the information materials accumulated over the years of the development of the world nuclear power on a wide range of issues. The collaboration with the agency is based on the most pressing issues for the republic at this stage.
Proceeding from the importance of the formation of RUE "Belarusian NPP" as an operating organization, a corresponding government decree was approved.
