Written by Department of information and public relations

The main topics of the final issue of the year include the meeting of the 7th All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the decision to build the third power unit of BelNPP, and Belarus' ratification of the agreement on the formation of a unified electricity market for the Union State ("News"). The news section also covers significant events on the global energy agenda.

The issue pays special attention to the development of international cooperation in the nuclear sector (“News”), the prevention of accidental radioactive emissions at Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant, and the selection of a site for the disposal of radioactive waste (“Nuclear Energy”).

Articles in the "Electric Power" and "Science for Power" sections cover the assessment of the electromagnetic environment at power facilities, the implementation of remote gas metering in residential buildings, a new method for identifying 10 kV phase breaks in distribution networks, and the use of a low-pressure gas collection system at main gas pipeline facilities.

An article on China's energy policy ("World Experience") and an essay on the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, dedicated to energy workers who participated in the Great Patriotic War and worked in Mogilev region ("Belarus Remembers"), are addressed to a wider audience.

In the "Standardization and Law" section, we remind you of the liability for preventing energy supply company representatives from accessing electrical networks, installations, and consumer metering devices, as well as the requirements for organizing fire escape routes. The issue concludes with our traditional review of legislative news and a list of articles published in the past year.
