On the BelNPP vehicle platform, the main achievement of Ostrovets district was demonstrated in the form of a theatrical episode - the construction of the first nuclear power plant on Belarusian land.

It is no coincidence that Ostrovets district had the honor of leading the convoy at the equipment parade. Ostrovets is the first city in Grodno region that was liberated from the Nazi invaders on July 3, 1944.
