Written by BelTA

The Minister of Energy of Belarus Viktor Karankevich does not exclude the possibility of future deliveries of electricity from Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant to Ukraine. He said this today on the Russia-24 television channel, taking part in the Russian Energy Week international forum in Moscow, BelTA informs.

“Everything is possible, at least this is a matter of interaction between business entities of Belarus and Ukraine. Now certain steps have been taken to test the delivery regime, but would be premature to talk about any specific volumes of supply to the Ukrainian market,” the minister said.

Viktor Karankevich emphasized that the commissioning of Belarusian nuclear power plant will improve the reliability of the energy systems of the entire region. “If there is a demand for electricity in neighboring countries, Belarusian energy system will be ready to provide electricity supplies, but within the technical capabilities,” he said.
